Our Biography

After just 10 months in training Dance Ecosse received it's first of many accolades by becoming the Scottish Champions in Freestyle / Jazz at their first attempt

2002

The year Dance ecosse was born in Dunfermline Scotland. With a limited initial intake of dancers to ensure the highest quality of training could be given to all, twenty young hopefuls commenced training with us.

2012 !!

2001

WOW.....

Invitations to dance in ....LOS ANGELES.........ESTONIA..........ITALY.........all in 2012 and the only Scottish school to be invited to all of them !!! A superb achievement Dance Ecosse
.......but...........we have decided and its ITALY in june 2012 for another world first for Dance Ecosse..........

An invitation to dance for the Disney Corporation and Dance Ecosse performed for Disney at their main theme park in Florida during April. Dance Ecosse were also given the honour of being the only dance school in the UK to be ambassadors for Disney's "Children of the Future" programme. We also were the first dance school from the UK to compete in the USA National dance Championships - crowned USA Champions in all age groups.

2003

Slovakia!!! As members of the IDO we represented Scotland at the World Disco Championships - the first time a Scottish dance company had taken part in this prestigious event. From 37 nations taking part we acheived an overall 10th place - superb for a first attempt.

2005

Continuing to spread our wings we competed in Gothenburg, Sweden and with yet another style change for us we acheived a very creditable 3rd place overall.

2006

Another superb year for Dance Ecosse at home and around the World. UK CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS IN ROCK AND ROLL AGAIN! Semi finalist at the World Championship in Czech Republic

2008

YES WE DID IT AGAIN!! 9 x USA CHAMPIONS AND SUPERB SHOW FOR DISNEY CONFIRMING OUR AMBASSADORSHIP FOR DISNEY CHILDREN OF THE FUTURE....

2009

WE ARE OFF TRAVELLING AGAIN !!! ....SOLE REPRESENTATIVES FOR SCOTLAND AT THE INTERNATIONAL GRAND PRIX DE DANCE IN ITALY 2012........ yet another superb first for the dancers at Dance Ecosse
