Our Biography

The year Dance ecosse was born in Dunfermline Scotland. With a limited initial intake of dancers to ensure the highest quality of training could be given to all, twenty young hopefuls commenced training with us.

After just 10 months in training Dance Ecosse received it's first of many accolades by becoming the Scottish Champions in Freestyle / Jazz at their first attempt

2002

2001

An invitation to dance for the Disney Corporation was received and Dance Ecosse performed for Disney at their main theme park in Florida during April. Dance Ecosse were also given the honour of being the only dance school in the UK to be ambassadors for Disney's "Children of the Future" programme.

While in the USA we also were the first dance school from the UK to compete in the USA National dance Championships and were crowned USA Champions in all age groups.

Concentrating on home competitions Dance Ecosse went from strength to strength and increased in numbers wining numerous area and national titles

This year found us changing styles and heading for Slovakia...! As members of the IDO we represented Scotland at the World Disco Championships - the first time a Scottish dance company had taken part in this prestigious event. From 37 nations taking part we acheived an overall 10th place - superb for a first attempt.

2005

Continuing to spread our wings we competed in Gothenburg, Sweden and although yet another style change for us we acheived a very creditable 3rd place overall.

Once again we have concentrated on home competitions and were crowned Scottish champions for the 6th year along with British and United Kingdom titles and overall Champ of Champions
